Welcome to Inverclyde! This section of the website has been set-aside to assist visitors to the marina on exploring Greenock, Inverclyde and the West of Scotland. Here you will find a brief overview of various activities, points of interest and resources with links to relevant websites and further information.

Gourock Outdoor Swimming Pool & Fitness Centre

Recently refurbished outside pool. Open seasonally so please check the website for opening times.


Gourock Fun World Play Centre

Indoor family entertainment open from 9.30am till 6.30pm Monday to Sunday.



The McLean Museum and Art Gallery

The displays feature an outstanding art collection, items related to the engineer James Watt, displays on Inverclyde’s maritime and industrial traditions as well as world cultures, Egyptology and natural history.


Newark Castle

Built in 1478 by Patrick Maxwell, the castle is well preserved and open to the public. Open seasonally so please check the website for opening times.


Lyle Hill

The Free French Memorial is located at the top of Lyle Hill and provides spectacular views over Gourock, Greenock and across to Rhu, Helensburgh and Dunoon.


Finlaystone Country Estate

Finlaystone offers a great family day out with play areas, woodlandwalks, picnic areas & bbq sites, colourful gardens, waterfalls, events & activities, tearoom, shopand visitor centre.



The Oak Mall

Large shopping centre with over 60 shops including many national brands.


Greenock Town Centre

Offer a range of local and national retailers within a short train journey or walk from the marina.



The marina is in close proximity to two large supermarkets. A 24hr Tesco is located at Port Glasgow (1.3 miles) and a Morrisons is located in Greenock (1.1 miles)



Glasgow City Centre

Accessible by car and by train from the marina in around 40 minutes.

Scotland Street School

Scotland Street School was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh between 1902-1906.​Mackintosh is Glasgow’s most celebrated architect, and Scotland Street School was a functioning school up until 1979. It is now a museum.


Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Mu​seum is one of Scotland's most popular free attractions.  It has 22 themed, state-of-the-art galleries displaying an astonishing 8000 objects.   The collections are extensive, wide-ranging and internationally-significant


The Hunterian Museum

Founded in 1807, The Hunterian is Scotland's oldest public museum and home to one of the largest collections outside the National Museums. The Hunterian is one of the leading university museums in the UK and its collections have been Recognised as a Collection of National Significance
